Jeanne E. Walker is vice president and special counsel at the U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform (ILR). She leads legal reform advocacy efforts across the 50 states, collaborating with local chambers and partners to support strategy, policy, and communications in support of ILR’s initiatives.
Before joining the Chamber, Walker was associate general counsel in the Litigation Department at Shell USA in Houston, Texas, where she led a team focused on risk mitigation, reporting, and advocacy. Earlier, she was head of litigation and associate general counsel at Celanese Corporation in Dallas, Texas. Walker is an experienced litigator, having worked at Faegre & Benson in Denver, Colorado, and Wildman Harrold (n/k/a Troutman Pepper Locke) in Chicago, Illinois.
Walker received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago, summa cum laude. She is a member of the Texas bar, a mom of two, and resides in The Woodlands, Texas.
