This discussion will explore ILR’s mission, our strategies for building diversity in the field of corporate law, and how we are working to connect these goals with the next generation of students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
ILR President Harold Kim will kick off the program with a fireside chat. Then, U.S. Chamber’s Senior Vice President for Strategic Alliances and Outreach, Rick Wade, will host a panel of legal industry experts to discuss the importance of diversity in the workplace, explore some of ILR’s key issues, and provide a forum for HBCU students to connect with leaders in the business community. The program will conclude with Q&A.
Confirmed speakers include, Dean Danielle Holley-Walker, Howard Law School; Former Attorney General of Georgia Thurbert Baker, Dentons; and Kimberly Phillips, General Counsel, Global Litigation of Shell Oil Company. Additional speakers to be announced soon.
