GDPR “Holding European Businesses Back,” Data Think Tank Analyst Says: A senior policy analyst for the Center for Data Innovation, a think tank that works on data privacy issues, says the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is “holding European businesses back” and needs “targeted reforms.” (Financial Times)

TPLF Driving Growth of Australian Class Actions: The co-chair of the Law Council of Australia’s class action committee said litigation funders “drive the market” for Australian class action litigation, which has been growing. The total number of class actions filed in 2018 was nearly triple the annual average since 1992. (Law.com)
