U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Legal Reform President Stephen Waguespack released the following today on the passage out of the House Judiciary Committee of the Protecting Our Courts from Foreign Manipulation Act of 2025:

“The U.S. Chamber of Commerce thanks Chairman Jim Jordan and Representative Ben Cline for their leadership and hard work in advancing this critical legislation. By safeguarding our courts from foreign interference, this bill will help limit the ability of foreign governments and outside financiers to weaponize our justice system. This represents an important bipartisan effort toward preserving the fairness and independence of our legal system, protecting consumers, businesses, and U.S. national and economic security.”
