With Fear of Litigation Gone, Shipments of N95 Masks Will Nearly Double

3M’s factories in South Dakota and Nebraska are now producing 35 million N95 masks a month, according to a report in The Washington Post. Around 90 percent of the masks being produced are designated for healthcare workers after Congress passed legislation last week that eliminated the threat of lawsuits from such sales.

3M said it is ready to rush additional shipments across the country and will almost double production to an annual rate of 2 billion masks over the coming year.
