U.K.-based Woodsford Litigation Funding has raised $100 million from its chairman to fuel the company’s expansion, according to Law360.
The strategy of raising money internally ensures that external investors won’t have “undue influence” over investment decisions, Woodsford’s CEO told the outlet. According to the article, the investment will be provided via a multicurrency fund that the company can draw down as needed.
