Pa. City Sues on Behalf of All U.S. “Political Subdivisions, Municipalities, Cities, Townships and Counties”

A single Pennsylvania city filed a class action lawsuit in Oregon that appears to represent every livable area in the United States, Law360 reports.

According to the article, the city of New Castle “seeks to represent political subdivisions, municipalities, cities, townships and counties in the U.S” that have purchased an Intel device. The lawsuit alleges the company sacrificed security when making computer and mobile device chips. The city said “many other cities, municipalities, counties and townships across the nation” have “suffered ascertainable injuries” as a result of the chip’s flaws.
