McDonald Faces Suit Over Vanilla Flavor In Ice Cream
McDonald’s is facing a proposed class action in California federal court over its soft serve according to a report in Law360. The suit filed by Scott Craig Borison of Borison Firm LLC and Spencer Sheehan of Sheehan & Associates PC is the latest in a series of false ad suits centering on vanilla-flavored ice cream products.
Named plaintiff Eugenia Harris says McDonald’s duped her and other ice cream eaters into thinking that its products were flavored only with the rare and expensive flavoring derived from vanilla beans as opposed to synthesized in a lab.
Sheehan and his firm have filed nearly a dozen lawsuits in the last year making similar allegations against other companies that sell vanilla-flavored ice cream and nondairy milk products. The suit, seeks unspecified damages, attorney fees and costs.
