Texas Counties Demand Thousands to Cover Open Records Requests for Private Lawyer Arrangements:  Some Texas counties are demanding thousands of dollars to cover the costs associated with releasing the billing records from the private lawyers they hired to represent the government in opioid-related litigation. Dallas County and Milam County quoted prices of $24,190 and $19,240, respectively, to comply with the requests. (Forbes/Legal Newsline)
