West Virginia Supreme Court Justice to Remain on Bench: The West Virginia Senate voted 32-1 against removing West Virginia Supreme Court Justice Beth Walker from the bench yesterday. Walker and three other justices are facing potential impeachment after investigations uncovered a series of improper spending practices by the Court. (West Virginia Record)

Litigation Funder Wants to Raise Even More Capital: Burford Capital, one of the world’s largest litigation funding firms, announced it had raised $250 million by selling new shares on the London Stock Exchange. The company said it will continue to raise capital with a debt issue and private fund raise that would follow “shortly.” (American Lawyer)
