Asbestos Attorney-funded PAC Spends $500,000 on Ads Opposing Republican Candidates in IL: Fair Courts Now, a campaign committee created to oppose Republican candidates for the Fifth District Appellate Court, spent $500,000 for broadcast and digital media spots. Fair Courts Now is supported in large part by asbestos firms that do business in Madison County. The organization has seen contributions from The Simmons firm of Alton, Maune Raichle of St. Louis, Madison County asbestos filers SWMK Law of St. Louis, and the Flint firm of Glen Carbon.
