IL Fifth District Appellate Court Will Likely Go to Republicans, Despite Asbestos Lawyer-Funded Attack Ads: The Fair Courts Now PAC, formed in mid-October and funded by mostly asbestos law firms, attempted to derail two fifth district appellate court candidates, James “Randy” Moore and John Barberis. As of this morning, however, both candidates are leading by roughly 10 percent margins with 95 percent of the precincts reporting.  (Madison – St. Clair Record)
