BP is taking its case to oust Gulf Oil Spill Claims Administrator Patrick Juneau over conflict of interest claims to the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans, after having its initial efforts rejected by a U.S. District Judge. BP asserts that Juneau should be removed because “he once represented Louisiana in talks setting up the claims process and had pushed for favorable terms for those with claims.” (Biloxi SunHerald)

Following a growing amount of regional recalls, lawsuits and the call for a Congressional investigation, the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration has issued a nationwide recall of all Takata air bags. (Wall Street Journal)
