SC Johnson Wants Windex False Ad Suit Dismissed: S.C. Johnson & Son Inc. is asking a New York federal court to throw out a proposed class action claiming its Windex surface cleaners are falsely advertised as non-toxic saying the suit relies on an unreasonable interpretation of the term. Among the ingredients the complaint highlights as toxic is vinegar, the company added, saying that is found in numerous foods, and the mere presence of an irritant does not render a product toxic. (Law 360)

SEC Chair Clayton to Step Down At End of 2020: Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC) Chair Jay Clayton announced his plans to leave the commission at the end of the year. Chairman Clayton was sworn in on May 4, 2017 and will leave the SEC as one of its longest serving Chairs. (SEC)
