  • Class Action Firm Finds Itself Sued in Major Shareholder Class Action Lawsuit: In a bit of irony, Slater and Gordon, the world’s first publicly traded law firm, which specializes in class actions and also practices third party litigation funding — has been sued in a shareholder class action that is funded, in part, by Australian-based JustKapital Litigation Financing and London’s Woodsford Litigation Funding.   • Illinois Civil Justice League Rates Jo Beth Weber and Brad Bleyer “Not Recommended” for IL Judicial Candidates: The Illinois Civil Justice League (ICJL) is denouncing a $1 million negative ad campaign financed by trial lawyers who litigate in the Metro East by issuing a “not recommended” rating of the judicial candidates who benefit from the attacks. “We find their willingness to accept this amount of trial attorney financial support deeply troubling,” said ICJL president John Pastuovic.
