Pa. Attorney Takes on Former Client, Lawsuit Lender: A Pennsylvania attorney is fighting a lawsuit lender seeking repayment by telling a state judge that his former client should be the one to repay the $35,000 fronted by Thrivest Funding. The attorney, who allegedly called the lawsuit a “no-brainer” and “one of the cases that helps me with my retirement,” persuaded the firm to invest before referring the lawsuit to a larger firm. He now says it is the responsibly of the plaintiff, not he, to repay the lender. (Law360)
