Make the CFPB Accountable: The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) may “finally gain some basic requirements of accountability and transparency, as Congress moves forward with a significant rewrite of Dodd-Frank rules.” The Financial CHOICE Act, sponsored by House Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling, cleared the House Financial Services Committee last week.
