  • New Federal “Employer Data” Regulation Could be Exploited by Plaintiffs’ Bar: A federal regulation issued this week “will reveal publicly the workplace injuries and illnesses employers have typically logged for their private use, triggering a clash with business groups that say the data could be misconstrued and exploited by unions and plaintiffs’ lawyers.” The article notes that the U.S. Chamber said the plaintiffs’ bar “could use it to bring frivolous lawsuits.” (Wall Street Journal
  • Six Flags Sued Over Child Losing Balance on Bugs Bunny Ride: A recent lawsuit against a New Jersey amusement park is leaving everyone dazed and confused. The father of a minor child is suing the Six Flags amusement park in Jackson, New Jersey over the Bugs Bunny Camp Carousel, alleging the ride caused his son to lose his balance and hit his head. The suit was brought four years after the alleged incident. (ILR Blog)
