Sheldon Silver `Blinded by Greed,’ Prosecutor Says as Retrial Opens: The corruption retrial for former New York State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver began yesterday, with the prosecutor saying Silver “used his law license as a cover to accept bribes” during his time as Speaker.
