New York attorneys general Eliot Spitzer and Eric Schneiderman “sat on potentially exculpatory evidence” in their case against former AIG CEO Hank Greenberg, writes The Wall Street Journal editorial page, calling the long-running lawsuit a “political case to win headlines and should be dismissed as a first step toward reform of the AG’s office.” (Wall Street Journal)

FedEx Corp filed a motion to dismiss charges levied by the Department of Justice for “conspiracy to distribute controlled substances,” citing as a defense that the company is a common carrier of goods, and “cannot reasonably be expected to police the millions of packages it carries each day.” (Wall Street Journal)
