Businesses Call for Oversight of Proxy Firms: Businesses and advocacy firms have called for more oversight on firms that advise shareholders on proxy proposals, saying the firms have too much influence on the proposals. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is likely to act on the issue later this Spring. (Wall Street Journal)
