A Look at U.S. Data Privacy Laws One Year After GDPR: Responding to an upsurge in public concerns over data privacy, California and Nevada have recently passed data privacy laws, and at least 15 other states have introduced similar legislation that either failed this session or is still pending. This emerging patchwork bodes well for privacy lawyers, but promises major headaches for both businesses and regulators. (Law360)
