Law360 reports that the FCC’s new rules on TCPA are a “potential gold mine” for plaintiffs’ lawyers, and that the rules “will allow trial lawyers to exploit vague language to pursue TCPA suits against legitimate companies.” (Law360)

The SEC announced $9 million in settlements with 36 municipal underwriting firms over municipal bond offerings. The enforcement actions are the first brought under the Municipalities Continuing Disclosure Cooperation initiative, in which alleged violations were self-reported by the underwriting firms. (Law360)
