  • Bringing TPLF ‘Out of the Shadows’: ILR wants to “bring third-party litigation funding arrangements out of the shadows,” writes attorney Kendall W. Harrison. He cites a letter sent by ILR and other organizations earlier this month to “ the Administrative Office of the United States Courts seeking an amendment to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure that would require the disclosure of third-party litigation funding contracts in any federal lawsuit.” (National Law Review)

  • TN County Prosecutors Sue Drugmakers, Target TN Legal Reform: Three Tennessee county prosecutors “filed a lawsuit Tuesday in Sullivan County Circuit Court against three drugmakers, seeking to hold them financially accountable for the state’s opioid epidemic.” The lawsuit also takes aim at the constitutionality of 2011 state legal reforms that capped non-economic damages. (Knoxville News-Sentinel)
