The office of Ecuador’s Attorney General has paid at least $867,000 to Atlanta-based Miren LLC, a public relations firm owned by Ecuador’s former Minister of Commerce and Industry. The AG’s office confirmed that the public relations firm nor its owner has ever been registered as an agent of a foreign government. The Washington Free Beacon reports that the contract was related to the activities of another Ecuador-hired PR firm hired for services related to the country’s litigation against Chevron.
