COVID-19 Lawsuits Start Piling Up For Businesses: The U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform is sounding the alarm over COVID-related lawsuits and is focused on advocating for Congress to pass limited and targeted liability protections for businesses, according to a report in The Hill. “If you have a tidal wave of lawsuits … it’s going to be too late by then. That’s why there has to be a timely effort by Congress to enact something,” Harold Kim, president of the U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform said. ILR is pressing for relatively quick action.
