- Head of SEC’s Pro-Plaintiffs’ Lawyer Whistleblower Program to Depart: As Sean X. McKessy, chief of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s “Whistleblower Program”, prepares to depart later this month, Legal Newsline reports that since 2011, the program “has garnered more than 14,000 tips from all over the United States as well as other countries around the world.” Lloyd Chinn, partner at Proskayer, said the program is pro-plaintiffs’ lawyer, as “a whole new cottage industry has grown up around the Whistleblower Program.” (Legal Newsline)
