A coalition of magazine publishers and other media companies (including Time, Inc., Rodale, A&E Television, Meredith Corporation, and National Public Radio) have joined the U.S. Chamber in weighing in on behalf of Spokeo in the Spokeo, Inc. v Robins case currently before the U.S. Supreme Court. The city of Chicago, in its suit against drug manufacturers over so-called opioid drugs, urged a federal court to reject drug manufacturers’ objections over whether “the city would need to identify specific consumers in its amended” claims. The city claims government enforcement actions aren’t required to prove consumers have been misled. (Law360)
