The Louisiana Supreme Court has overturned a nearly $258 million verdict in state Attorney General Buddy Caldwell’s lawsuit brought under the state’s version of the federal False Claims Act over the prescription drug Risperdal. Legal Newsline

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau on Wednesday filed suit against mortgage company PHH Corp. and its affiliates. The bureau alleges the company collected “hundreds of millions of dollars” in illegal mortgage insurance kickbacks starting as early as 1995. National Law Journal

The Delaware General Assembly unanimously voted to confirm current Delaware Court of Chancery Chancellor Leo E. Strine Jr. as the next Delaware Supreme Court chief justice.
