New report: PIP Repeal Could Cost Florida Motorists: A new report from the Property Casualty Insurers Association of American found that the current version of Florida’s personal injury protection insurance mandate repeal bill would increase the cost of coverage by 5.3 percent. The bill passed the House on Jan. 12, and is awaiting action by the state’s senate. (Florida Politics)

SEC Asked to Investigate Potential Fraud in California Bond Offerings Over Climate Change Risk: The Competitive Enterprise Institute asked the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to investigate California municipalities for fraud. A number of California cities and counties have sued oil companies over climate change, but do not list the damage in bond offerings. (Legal Newsline
