A judge awarded plaintiffs’ lawyers $4.1 million in fees for winning a jury verdict in a price-fixing case against makers of Vitamin C, far less than the $15 million they requested. The judge credited them for the high quality of their work, but determined that most of their expenses were already covered by earlier settlements. American Lawyer

At least four class actions have been filed in federal court in Chicago over Target’s recent data breach, all seeking more than $5 million in damages. Cook County Record
