- Arizona Republic Highlights FACT Act: “Proponents of (U.S. Senator Jeff) Flake’s legislation say more transparency is needed to prevent plaintiffs and their lawyers from making multiple, sometimes conflicting claims in lawsuits and trust claims about the source of asbestos exposure. Flake said additional information about the claims in trust cases is needed to determine whether fraud is widespread.” (Arizona Republic)
- Reserve Officers Association-Indiana Backs FACT Act: “This type of reporting will ensure that these trust funds will actually help the asbestos victims rather than allow the asbestos trusts to be depleted by fraudulent claims and plaintiffs’ lawyers,” wrote Reserve Officers Association of Indiana President Fred Hendricks, a retired Navy captain, in a letter to U.S. Senators Charles Grassley (R-IA) and Patrick Leahy (D-VT).
