“State Legislators Put the Brakes on ALI’s Redesign of Insurance Law”: U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform President Lisa A. Rickard said the American Law Institute is “on the defensive” as it started its promotional roadshow for its controversial Restatement of the Law, Liability Insurance yesterday in Houston. She pointed to a number of states that have taken action to reject the Restatement that some lawyers have called “litigation fuel.” (ILR Blog)
