  • TX Hailstorm Suits on the Rise, Despite All-Time Low in Homeowner Complaints: Homeowner complaints made to the Texas Department of Insurance over hailstorm damage were at an all-time low last year, yet the state saw a half million hailstorm claims resulting in a record $4 billion in insured losses. “One wonders what is going on when you have no complaints at TDI for an entire year, but a thousand lawsuits are filed,” said Mark Hanna, a spokesperson for the Insurance Council of Texas.
