Tootsie Roll Asks Judge To Dismiss Lawsuits Over Air In Candy Boxes: Tootsie Roll argues that a “copy-cat” class action lawsuit over empty space in products like Junior Mints should be thrown out of court, just as its predecessors have been. The company filed a motion to dismiss in New Jersey federal court pointing out that “the front of every challenged box conspicuously and accurately disclosed the weight of the candy contained inside.” (Legal Newsline)
