As plaintiffs’ lawyers jockey for fees, class members have objected to requests from “ghost lawyers” in the $10 billion Volkswagen settlement, Law360 reports.

In a brief filed last week, class members said the “ghost lawyers” who emerged “from the shadows only after the case has been resolved” should not be entitled to money from the larger settlement. These lawyers represented individual class members, but were not designated class counsel.
