Rep Hensarling Wants to Restructure CFPB as Civil Enforcement Agency: The power of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) would be severely curtailed under a new plan being introduced by House Financial Services Chairman Jeb Hensarling. The plan would restructure the CFPB as a civil enforcement agency like the Federal Trade Commission. (The National Law Journal)
