  • FCC Updates TCPA To Limit “Robotexts”: The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is clarifying the limitations on auto-dialed text messages, more commonly known as robotexts. This new advisory is an amendment to the TCPA, which restricts the making of telemarketing calls, the use of automatic telephone dialing system, and artificial or prerecorded voice messages.   • SEC Awards $3.5 M To Whistleblower; Program Endowment Near $135 M: The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission awarded a $3.5 million reward, one of the top ten largest awards given to date, to a whistleblower earlier this week. This brings the program’s total endowment to approximately $135 million with 36 rewarded tipsters since the program began in 2011. (Law360)
