Could Lawsuit Over Insurance Fraud Break “Legislative Logjam” in Florida?: In a story on potential fraud stemming from Florida’s personal-injury protection (PIP) insurance system, a state lawmaker said “moving to a fault-based system of auto insurance will naturally eliminate or thoroughly reduce fraud.” A bill to repeal the PIP system failed to advance in the legislature last year, but is likely to be proposed again.
