W.Va. Delegate Wants Special Session For Bill To Protect Businesses, Schools, Churches From COVID Lawsuits: A member of the West Virginia House of Delegates is pushing for legislation that would protect teachers, school systems, churches, and businesses from frivolous lawsuits related to COVID, according to a report by WSAZ.
Delegate Joshua Higginbotham (R-Putnam) said he wants the measure to be considered in a special legislative session as soon as possible. He maintains the legislation is necessary to protect essential institutions and organizations from potential COVID-related lawsuits.
