According to data compiled by SNL Financial, the tally for “credit crisis and mortgage-related settlements” with regulators has now reached $132.15 billion for the six largest bank holding institutions. (Monitor Daily)

The San Francisco district attorney is expanding his “consumer protection” lawsuit against Uber over claims that it “rigorously checks” the backgrounds of its drivers. Uber said it disagrees with the district attorney, that no background check system is flawless and that “its checks are just as detailed as with tax drivers.” (Associated Press)
