Cabell Circuit Judge to Replace Indicted Justice on West Virginia Supreme Court: The chief justice of the West Virginia Supreme Court announced that Cabell Circuit Judge Paul T. Farrell will replace Justice Allen Loughry on the court, who is currently facing 23 federal charges, including wire fraud. The other four justices, including the chief justice, are facing impeachment proceedings over allegations of improper spending. (West Virginia Record)

Ecuador Attorney General Says the Country Will Likely Lose Chevron Case: Ecuador State Attorney General Iñigo Salvador told Ecuador Inmediato that it’s “most probable” the country will lose its case against Chevron in the Permanent Court of Arbitration at The Hague. The state has been trying to enforce a judgment that a U.S. court found was “procured by fraud.” (Ecuador Inmediato)
