California Judge Says Diet Soda Lawsuit Doesn’t Pass “Reasonable-Consumer” Test: A California federal judge tossed a lawsuit that alleged Diet Dr. Pepper’s label led drinkers to believe it helped with weight loss. U.S. District Judge William H. Orrick said nothing about the label would lead a reasonable consumer to think “the product will assist in weight loss or healthy weight management.” (Law360)
