  • NJ Legal Reform Group Provides Defense of Consumer Arbitration: “The biggest opponents of arbitration are plaintiffs’ attorneys, who make their living in the courtroom. These attorneys are running a smear campaign against arbitration because they know that having a faster and cheaper process for resolving disputes will cut into their bottom line,” writes Marcus Rayner, president, New Jersey Civil Justice Institute, in an op-ed in the Newark Star-Ledger.  (The Star-Ledger)
  • TCPA Lawsuit Filed Against Trump Campaign: The Trump for President campaign was hit with a lawsuit alleging the campaign violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. The suit, filed in the Eastern Division of the Northern District of Illinois, alleged the campaign sent text messages using an automatic telephone dialing system without the prior consent of the recipient. (Chicago Tribune)
