ILR’s Food Court Paper Continues to Garner Media Attention

ILR’s recently released paper, The Food Court: Trends in Food and Beverage Class Action Litigation, continues to make news as the New York Post and Candy Industry comment on the “not-so-classy actions” stemming from this type of litigation.

The New York Post comments on the “uptick in the big Apple’s federal courts” and the overall “nationwide trend” of increased foot litigation. The article cites numerous examples from ILR’s paper including a Hudson Valley woman who sued KFC for $20 million because her $20 bucket of chicken was not as full as she expected.

In a separate piece on slack-fill, the Candy Industry writes that ILR’s report is “enlightening and truly informative. It was also scary at the same time. I urge all to download the PDF for reference.”
