ILR “Warns of Risks of Dutch Class Action System”

Law firm wants to bring Bentham-funded ‘class action’ in Channel Islands: Despite the Royal Court of Jersey’s lack of a “mechanism for group litigation,” a New York law firm is teaming up with litigation funder Bentham to “replicate the advantages of a class action in a jurisdiction where mass litigation doesn’t exist.” The Royal Court oversees litigation involving businesses incorporated in the Channel Islands in the English Channel.
