Governor Chris Christie to Keynote ILR’s Legal Reform Summit

The U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform announced today that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will deliver a keynote address at the 15th Annual Legal Reform Summit on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the U.S. Chamber headquarters in Washington, D.C.

This year’s summit—The Enforcement “Collidescope”: The New Litigation Paradigm—will also feature remarks by Tom Donohue, President and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

In addition, this day-long gathering of leaders in the legal reform community will explore the increase in government overreach and serial enforcement, outsourcing of public powers to private parties, and follow-on litigation. Panel topics include:

  • The Prismatic Effect: Government Overreach and Serial Enforcement 
  • The Two-Way Mirror: Political Landscape and 2014 Elections Outlook 
  • As Seen Through the Crystal Ball: The Future of Financial Services Litigation 
  • A Cracked Looking Glass: Attorney Fraud and the Lack of Accountability 
  • Reflecting Upon the Restatements: A Discussion with the American Law Institute 
  • Liability Refraction: Digital Technology and Privacy 

The Summit will also feature the 2014 Legal Reform Awards, which honor individuals and organizations whose outstanding work has contributed to improving our nation’s civil justice system.
