“Frequent TCPA Lawyer” Settles Lawsuits

Forbes/Legal Newsline reports that a lawsuit between a “prolific plaintiffs’ lawyer” and a defendant accusing him and his plaintiff of manufacturing lawsuits has been settled.

The lawyer, Jason Alan, settled his Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) lawsuit against BrandRep as the company was fighting the lawsuit claiming Alan created the circumstances leading to his TCPA claim.

BrandRep accused Alan of making public more than 20 phone numbers he associated with various business entities to invite calls. “Why does one person need nearly 30 telephone numbers” asked the company.

Alan has filed more than 30 TCPA lawsuits in federal courts.
