Florida Governor Makes Second of Three State Supreme Court Picks

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis selected a Miami appeals court judge to serve on the state’s Supreme Court yesterday, filling two of the three vacancies he inherited when his term began last week, the Miami Herald reports.

Judge Robert Luck joined Barbara Lagoa, the first Cuban-American woman to serve on the court, as the first two of Gov. DeSantis’ three appointments to the court. The vacancies were left by three justices who retired last year.
