Delaware High Court Gets New Chief Justice
The Governor of Delaware has announced that Chancellor Leo Strine will be the next chief justice of the state supreme court, pending approval by the legislature. According to the American Lawyer, Strine is “doggedly protective of the state’s position as the arbiter of high-end corporate disputes, and he’s wary of other courts weighing in on Delaware law.” The state has a strong legal reputation, as it has been repeatedly found to have the best legal climate in ILR’s survey on the state legal systems.
